Johan the executor

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

johanJohan managed to Pick a fight against Joaquin Serrano not once but twice!

The first hand Johan raised preflop with K-6 suited to 4000. Joaquin called. The flop was A-6-x and Johan once again bet out this time 2500 and Joaquin called. The turn was an 8 and both checked and on the river came a 6 and Johan went all-in Joaquin thought about calling for a longtime until he finally did with A-10 in his hand but Johans three of a kind beat him.

In the 2nd hand he called an all in from the now shortstacked Joaquin with K-Q and Joaquin had A-K. Flop came K-Q-J, turn came a 9 and on the river came another K giving Johan a full house and Joaquin went out in 30th place tonight.

Last hope

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Of our swedish team we have one last hope.

We have had almost all of our team members eliminated starting with Henrik Kentander who played short stack for a longer while and then managed to find QJ and a preflop call of 800 during level 7.
The flop came down to Q-10-8. The first player bet out the pot and Henrik responded with an all-in to take down the pot but he was called instead and his adversary showed pocket Kings and it was all over when none of his outs came.

2nd to go was Kamil who had an ok run during the tournament without running into any bigger pots.

He got to sit down on the TV table for a while when the hand which eliminated him came. There was a preflop raise to 800 and then an all-in from the player on the left of Kamil and Kamil as well went over the top with an all in with around 10.000 in chips. The original raiser folded and then it was showdown time and Kamil showed Q-Q and the other player had 10-10. The worst part is probably that the last card that went belly up on the flop was a 10 and with no Queens in sight Kamil went out in frustration..

Next to go was Gustav Ekhagen who went out 30 minutes ago as he was trying to survive his first Live tournament here in Spain. With no cards coming his way he needed to go all-in during a 2 limper pot with 10-9 suited. The problem here was that one of the players which limped then responded with going all-in as he had Pocket Kings!

As it is right now we 39 players left and the blinds are 600-1200 with 100 ante and we have all of our hopes on Johan Wngelin who is still going strong on the TV table with over 50.000 in his chipstack

Henrik Wärn is out

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Our first Swedish Hero Henrik is out of the tournament as he got in a little bit of trouble when he called a raise preflop with 7-7 and then the flop came J-7-2.  The other player bet 2500 and Henrik called. The turn came a blank and the other player bet 5500 and with 14000 left in his stack he decided to go all-in. He was instatnly called and the other player showed J-J for a set of Jacks!!

We will get to see more of Henrik in the future so he wil lget his revenge :-D
